Climbing in the Banff Nationalpark

We arrived in Banff on the 25th of September when it was raining. Our first destination was Tunnel Mountain, which has mainly slab-climbing, but is also facing south and therefore gets dry quickly after rain. Two days we climbed in the great slabby area “Black Band”.

After that we went to the very beautiful and chilly Black Feather Canyon. The hike-in starts at the very scenic Lake Minnewanka.

After one day in the chilly Black Feather Canyon, we went back to the Tunnel Mountain to warm up in the “Scoop Area”.

On our last day in the Banff Nationalpark we checked out “Carrot Creek”, where the mere hike-in is sheer visual pleasure!
